Obama: I Haven't Had A Cigarette In Six Years Because I'm Scared Of My Wife

President Obama got caught on a hot mic today saying he hasn’t smoked in six years because he’s afraid of his wife Michelle. According to CNN, which caught the candid moment, the president was speaking with a United Nations official.

“I hope you’ve quit smoking,” President Obama said. “I haven’t had a cigarette in probably six years. That’s because I’m scared of my wife.”

Michelle Obama gives a different date for when the president quit smoking, saying in 2011 that her husband hadn’t smoked in “almost a year.”
